Why I am Pro-Choice.

Contrary to some belief, Pro-Choice doesn't mean that you are having rallies to send pregnant women to clinics to kill their unborn. That seems to be the picture that being pro-choice portrays to a staunch pro-lifer. In fact, pro-choice is not the oppposite of pro-life, it does not mean pro-death. At one time in my life I was actually pro-life... I was a real advocate and thought that all pro-choice people were using abortion as a means of birth control. I still think that using abortion as the sole mean of birth control is wrong. However, what has changed is my perspective on the matter.

I think that a woman should be presented with a safe means to make a choice. That's it. A choice. A very personal choice. I don't think that it should be left to the government to place limitations on her choice. Before there was proper knowledge on what defines an abortion... people were doing it. In fact, in the process many women died unintentionally... unnecessarily. So it is my choice, that women be given a safe and legal choice.

The Learning Curve

I'm usually very quick-witted and smart. Usually.

However, I tend to be quite slow in other areas. I'm very slow in evaluating friendship. The new ones are no problem, because I've learned not to hold them tooo dear. Close, but not too close. The older set though, is where my problem lies.

I find myself unsure and always second guessing certain friends. Why did her smile seem so insincere? Why are we always making "one day" plans? Like... "One day we should... go out for drinks." Somehow, that one day never comes. It's hard not to wonder sometimes... do I have too much free time on my hands? Am I over evaluating the situation? I feel that in the end, in your heart of hearts you know who is true and who isn't. Sometimes it's just you trying to keep hope alive. But you know... I know.
