The Principle of a Favor

When you ask someone to do you a favor, please remember that even if the person says yes... it is still not a priority for them. It is still your priority. Your priority to follow up and make sure that all is well and things are still on, that the person remembers to grant the favor etc etc. In general when you agree to grant a favor while yes it's important, it is not the priority of the person granting the favor. That is all.
